Residential Counselors: Responsible for working directly with the clients in our Residential Programs. High School Diploma and/or college degree and 1 year of prior experience preferred but not required. There are full-time and part-time positions.
Master's Level Therapists: Responsible for providing assessment, crisis services and counseling to agency clients in our residential programs. Applicants must have a Master's Degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a closely related field. If not licensed, applicants must be actively seeking licensure.
Case Managers: Participates in the development, update and implementation of treatment plans (if applicable) for children and/or families in accordance with MHDD Licensure standards, DCS contractual guidelines and/or accreditation standards. Case managers complete Registration/Intake Assessments, Discharge Summaries, and Treatment Plan Updates. Case managers must maintain casework documentation and progress notes. The case manager must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in social work or a related field and one (1) year of pertinent experience in the human services field with children or in a residential treatment setting. Volunteer experience and practicum and intern experiences in programs/facilities that work with children and families may be counted as pertinent work experience. A master’s degree in the social sciences may be substituted for the one year of work experience. The case manager must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license for employment.
Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselors: Conduct individual and group counseling, using knowledge of drug and alcohol abuse problems and counseling and treatment techniques. Develops, updates and implements of treatment plans (if applicable) for children and/or families in accordance with MHDD Licensure standards, DCS contractual guidelines and/or accreditation standards. Counselors complete A&D Assessments, SASSI, Discharge Summaries, and Treatment Plan Updates. The A&D Therapist must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be licensed in Tennessee as an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) or have master’s degree, Ed.D., Ed.S., or Ph.D. in the behavioral sciences. Two (2) years of professional experience in Chemical Dependency is required. Experience with crisis intervention response and knowledge of mental health issues is preferred. The A&D Therapist must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license for employment.
